My name is Ershad Alijani. I was born in 1985 in Iran and I have been working as a journalist since 2004. My first job was in ISKA news agency as a young journalist. Later, I worked in many media in Iran as a journalist specialized in foreign policy and politics. I worked in several newspapers like Sarmayeh, Etemad, Bahar and Shargh.
I moved to Paris in 2011 and began to work at “Radio France International” and “The Observers” desk in France 24 TV channel based in Paris.
I write mostly about the Middle East, especially about Iran, Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq. I do fact-checking and I’m an OSINT expert. I’m awarded the 2020 French Diplomatic Press Association Prize for my report “Iran’s Hidden Slaughter” on the Islamic Republic’s repression of protests in November 2019.
I follow political and military events in the Middle East closely and yes, I am a feminist, so I write a lot about the women of this region as well.
